CA SD04 Update: The Duarte Record Tells the Story, 33% Lower Than An Average Republican!

John Duarte was one of the most liberal Republican members of Congress. Given that he publicly detailed socially progressive decisions he and his family made to leave a Church that preached traditional Christian values, it is not a stretch for one to use Duarte’s record in congress as a yardstick for what to expect from Alexandra Duarte.

Given that as a general rule, Women tend to be more liberal than men… it should give the readers pause as to what to expect even as Alexandra is visiting groups trying to define herself as something other than a social liberal in an attempt to gain traction.

You would think in a state where Republicans have 23% of the registrations, that the Republicans would welcome a new convert in to the fold! Instead Marie Alvarado Gil has two primary challengers (both to the left of her ideologically), including the deceitful Duarte clan trying to run to her right despite ample public information suggesting otherwise.

Not Bad, only 33% lower than the average Republican.

All that squishing did not do Duarte any good at the ballot box in 2024.

Voted against reforming the FBI!

Voted in favor of Biden Spending bills several times!

Voted to increase the Biden Debt Ceiling (as did Thomas Massie)!!!

Voted against Jackson / Roy Amendment to de-politicize the DOD!

Voted against a bill forcing the Chinese Government to divest from owning TikTok!

Voted against the Secure the Border Act!!!!!!

And remember one of the reasons Democrat Leadership threw Marie Alvarado Gil off of her State Senate committees is because Gil is Pro-Life. Then they basically ran her out of the party for asking too many questions about their insane legislation, but it sounds like Alexandra Duarte would have an easy time taking Gil’s place in their caucus should her deception of the SD-04 voters succeed.

It is Republican Primary season. This means you have career union hacks trying to say they are conservative, but our focus is not on the dude with a massive pension and thousands of our tax dollars in his bank account.

Nope, his rinoness has been eclipsed by yet another family dynasty candidate! Yep, one Alexandra Duarte has thrown her hat in to the ring to run for California State Senate against a Republican Incumbent.

It looks like the Duarte political empire is expanding. First we got John Duarte—Mr. “Moderate Republican”—telling everyone how proud he is to be a squish. Now his wife, Alexandra Duarte, wants to run for State Senate as a Republican. I’d be surprised, but I see this sort of stuff time and time again, including liberals trying to suddenly become Trump-Loving right-wingers.

John Duarte openly admitted he left his church because it wouldn’t celebrate same-sex marriage, and references pulling his kids out as well. That’s not “standing up for values”—that’s chasing liberal approval. You have to also conclude from John Duarte’s comments that Alexandra was completely involved in the decision to change churches and pull the kids along with it.

The Duarte’s are the latest people to abuse the good name of Abraham Lincoln or Ronald Reagan to mask a life history of liberalism (or to attack Republicans, you pick). The brutal reality in SD04 is that the most conservative Republican is the one who left the dem party after getting attacked constantly by democrat leadership in Sacramento.

If Alexandra Duarte fools the voters to get to Sacramento, she’ll do exactly what her husband does—cow-tow to the liberal insiders, cut deals with the left, and sell out the conservative base. She’s not running to fight for us, she’s running to build the Duarte brand. That is the only conclusion a reasonable person could draw. This is what her husband did in DC and it worked so well that he lasted one term in office.

Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil actually took the hard road. She switched parties when the democrats went full socialist, and she proudly attended President Trump’s inauguration—knowing full well the left and the media would viciously attack her. She went the opposite way from the Duarte’s, her values took her out of the dem party into the the Republican Party and now the Duarte’s are having to attempt to reinvent themselves to bluff their way in to relevance again.

You have a career government union dude. You have a chameleon with a documented history of social liberalism. You have Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil that was effectively thrown out of the democrat party for holding our values. It should be an easy choice – but I am warning you now, say no to the latest fraudulent Republican. Pick the honest Republican who took the personal hits and stood up for us when it mattered the most, when she had everything to lose, Marie Alvarado-Gil.

Donald Trump left the democrat party because of his values. Ronald Reagan left the democrat party because of his values. Marie Alvarado Gil Left the democrat party because of her values. Her opponents are lying about their values in order to trick republicans. Warning Issued.

6 Republicans, 2 Democrats. WHAT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!?

Where was the California Republican Senate Caucus? Why didn’t they poll to figure out that the Republicans were going to slice up votes in a perfect proportion?

I had written that Matt Klemin is a jerk and acted like he wanted to get into a physical altercation with me at the last CAGOP Convention. Matt Klemin was terminated by Shannon Grove and when she was overthrown, the new Senate Leader Scott Wilk hired him right back. Wilk and Klemin own this disaster. Matt Klemin is the Senate Caucus strategist and somehow this happened on his watch. No amount of bullying, yelling and being a jerk changes this failure.

Why Didn’t the Senate Caucus poll? Did anyone attempt to bring in Independent expenditures? Where was the State Party? It is clear from everyone in my orbit that the brain trust in leadership were taken completely by surprise by tonight’s results. You’d think that their $180,000 a year strategist would have done something other than lose.

The refusal of the state party leaders to clear the field or attempt to enforce any sort of party discipline coupled with the blunders of Matt Klemin has cost the CAGOP one of the 9 seats it held in the State Senate – IN A BLOOD RED DISTRICT.

I like Scott Wilk and have known him for years but this blunder is inexcusable and when coupled with what he did to reinstall Matt Klemin means that his colleagues should be calling for his resignation. The CAGOP? They should also be called out for being asleep at the switch on this as well.

Jim Nielsen is another guy that I have been outspokenly critical of. I had been witheringly critical of Mr. Nielsen for talking conservative in the district and being anything but at the capitol.

Here is proof that the Older, Wiser Jim Nielsen has gotten more conservative with age and his actions circa 2013-2014 do not match everything I had learned about him from the years prior.

I have no illusions of ever being on friendly terms with Nielsen or his staff – that bridge was torched years ago. This endorsement is to thank Jim for doing the right thing, not to try to curry favor.

Please vote Jim Nielsen for Senate if you live in Roseville or the surrounding areas.

Senator Nielsen Earns California Taxpayers
Association 100 Percent Pro-Taxpayer Voting Record

SACRAMENTO – The California Taxpayer’s Association (CalTax), the state’s oldest and largest organization representing taxpayers, has named Senator Jim Nielsen among its 25 state legislators to receive a perfect score for his voting record to protect taxpayers and oppose wasteful government spending.

“I am honored that the California Taxpayers Association has chosen to recognize me for the hard work I put in every day fighting for taxpayers,” said Senator Nielsen. “We are fortunate to have organizations like CalTax that are continuously working to ensure that more of our hard-earned money stays in our pockets and does not end up being wasted by big government.”

The score was calculated based on Senator’s Nielsen’s votes on high priority legislation identified by CalTax that would have a lasting impact on California’s tax structure, and that would affect economic certainty, equity, transparency and the complexity of California taxes.
