How Many People Donated to Beth Gaines’ Supervisor Campaign Without Knowing It?

Beth Gaines Ended 2014 with $205,214.72 in her Assembly Account. It currently shows $93,438.63 after a “transfer” of $80,000 in to the County Supervisor Account.

ON March 3rd, Beth Gaines held a fundraiser in to a Board of Equalization account that was billed as a fundraiser for Republicans in Target Districts. No, it was not. More on that in a bit.

Beth Gaines’ Board of Equalization Account Reported nothing left as of 6/30/2015 as the money raised went to Dave Titus, Campaign Consultants and – you guessed it – $20k to her Assembly Account which then passed $80k to the Supervisor Account.

Gaines’ BOE Account has some well-known donors: Lincoln Councilmember Paul Joiner, Rocklin Councilmember Scott Yuill, Rocklin Councilmember Diana Ruslin,  all of whom have endorsed Bill Halldin for Assembly. The significance is that Beth Gaines is currently on her third candidate to run against him for Assembly.

I am sure Bill Halldin, who also shows up on her report(s) for $1,025 total would not have donated if he knew the money was going to her next post-move bid for office. The previously mentioned donors have all endorsed Bill Halldin’s Assembly Campaign, but would they have donated to the Gaines if they knew she was planning to move and run for her next office elsewhere?

There are also a slew of donors that do not play in local races – such as insurance carriers and insurance PAC’s. Would they have donated if they knew her plan?

In case you are not tracking me… Take a look at this link to the Beth Gaines for Supervisor Account. The above are now donors to that, whether they like it or not.

Now, it becomes a mess beyond the ethics of it. When you transfer campaign money, you have to attribute the source – the Brother of El Dorado Supervisor Brian Veerkamp is now a donor, along with embattled El Do Auditor-Controller Joe Harn. These are de-facto endorsements that these men will have explain, because they donated to a Republican Leadership Event hosted by Beth Gaines.

Bill Halldin – whose $1,025 is now in Beth Gaines’ Supervisor Account will be repaid for his donations by Team Gaines and their crew attempting to sabotage his Assembly Campaign. The other local electeds would have had no way of knowing what they were doing when they donated. Here is hoping they can help Bill Halldin raise a lot of money.

Which gets us to the main issue here. We wrote about the attacks that were fomented against Placer D4 Supervisor Kirk Uhler. We identified the source of the attacks as Beth Gaines’ staffers. The attacks took place in January, the attack was retracted in February and we day-lighted Dave Titus and Jeff Short as the source in March. Once it became clear that Kirk Uhler was too hard of a target even for the tens of thousands Beth had in her accounts…

Ms. Gaines set her sights on El Dorado County – within Days, the El Dorado Grand Jury lit up the incumbent almost on cue. One of Gaines’ long-time political allies is a leader on that Grand Jury. Look at the timing of the Grand Jury Report and the Timing of all the money transfers setting up the run for El Dorado County Supervisor … they are within two days of each other.

Beth Gaines had to know what she was doing when this fundraiser was held. It is well-known in insider circles that Sacramento County Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan, who recently announced she is not running for re-election, appears to have waited on purpose for Beth Gaines to announce her bid for El Dorado County Supervisor before she announced the coming retirement. MacGlashan, after seeing the attack on Kirk Uhler in January, knew that Beth Gaines was seat-shopping. Rumor has it that Beth Gaines may indeed move to Sacramento County for the $130k+ a year salary.

As written previously, Ted Gaines just opened up a Board of Equalization Account for 2018. He gets a free run for it mid-term in his senate term. If he wins, this would set up Beth Gaines to run in a special election in 2019, giving her the same advantage she had in 2011 when her name ID carried her to a 726 vote win. Beth Gaines already has a 2020 State Senate Account opened (Congratulations Paul Joiner, you donated $200 to it somehow)… if you live in El Dorado County, it should demonstrate to you how much you matter to them.

If anyone donates to the Gaines’ again, how do they know their donation will be used for what is alleged in the invitation?

Lauren Stephens knew two things. 1. That the SB277 Referendum was going to fail and 2. That people were preparing an initiative.

12000107_10154267291794966_53504662_nAs written on this blog previously, Laruen Stephens attempted to leave Tim Donnelly holding the bag. After being exposed for her attempt to leave the referendum campaign, in an apparent attempt to save face, she continued on despite a team meeting where her departure had been announced. Her attempt to depart the referendum was on or about August 17th.

Your intrepid blogger has discovered that Lauren Stephens whose business is “KingdomX” (Perhaps her megalomania speaking there) is clearly the owner of the domain. The Domain was purchased on August 26th, 2015 – a clear sign of premeditation on her part. I can write with certainty that when Stephens was announcing her departure on the conference call on 8/24, she was already preparing her next move… while lying to the hard-working volunteers on the effort.

As blogged earlier today, on Wednesday 9/23, Lauren Stephens filed her initiative. I have been told by a confidential source that Lauren Stephens was clear with people that she did this to f— the group of financiers that were working on an initiative. Should Donnelly for some insane reason follow Lauren in to the effort, there will be limited funding at best as Donnelly’s toxicity limits the appeal of anything that falls under the shadow of his narcissism. (The SB277 referendum was known as the Tim Donnelly referendum and from where I sat watching, the kids and forced vaccinations were ancillary) Lauren Stephens appears to be preparing another scam at the expense of California’s parents, attempting to deny them a chance to reclaim lost rights from the central planners in Sacramento.

Lauren Stephens by her own admission filed the SB277 Referendum borne out of her visceral hatred for Republican electeds… and is doubling down in an apparent effort to assuage the voices in her head over some sort of evil conspiracy by a group of concerned wealthy parents that think vaccines are full of deadly chemicals.

12011389_482340431943879_6736404731245336954_nSometimes when I write these posts, I have to stop and admire the absurdity. It helps me when I want to put my hand through the computer.

I think of the parents who live in fear of big pharma and all the horrible un-pronounceable compounds being forced in to the veins of their children as a condition of enrollment in government schools where they are brainwashed.

Then reality sets in. Our schools and education system are indeed perverted – but so is this effort by Tim Donnelly and Lauren Stephens.

I have openly questioned the legality of raising money on gofundme for an initiative – my reading of FPPC rules says it is illegal because you can not track the donors etc etc etc for the report. They have claimed a $150k donation and claimed to be paying volunteers awards for production – the $150k was never reported within 24 hours suggesting this was a lie to motivate people or Tim Donnelly / Lauren Stephens owe the FPPC a $5k fine (or more).

Then there is this – look at this screenshot from the SB277 group. They have advocated using non-citizens for their drive in past threads (oh the irony with the former minuteman and border hawk Tim Donnelly who failed to qualify a referendum against the DREAM Act) but are now advocating falsifying circulation data. This is indeed a felony. BTW – it is also a clear indicator that Tim Donnelly and Lauren Stephens are incompetent and have poorly trained volunteers despite the paranoia and control Lauren exerted over the petitions.

Speaking of Felonies – what will happen with the $171k raised off of the go fund me account? How much of this will go in to Tim Donnelly’s Pocket? Or go to pay for his radio show under the guise of advertising? Were the paid signature gatherers being required to kick back a portion of the $1 or $2 per signature to Donnelly?

It may well be that the crazed Stephens is filing the initiative for her own personal profit, in addition to the revenge that the voices in her head are telling her to take.

Fortunately, Lauren Stephens is not a Republican, so when the media finally does their job and reports this scam… at least the GOP won’t suffer further embarrassment than Tim Donnelly has already brought us.

SB277 Referendum Scam Complete – Initiative Filed Before Failure is Final

12039653_10208015553054515_4217941490047027148_nLauren Stephens got caught. She got Tim Donnelly involved and then Mr. Donnelly went for broke.

Now, with the 9/28 deadline for the failure of the referendum approaching, Lauren has filed an initiative. You do not do this if you are winning or are expecting to qualify your referendum.

Several Questions need to be answered… where did the $150k donor they claimed go to?Capture

What happened to the $170k that was raised off of the gofundme account?

12059751_10208008392155497_964478902_o

For the last two weeks – we have been treated to staged pictures of bank boxes reputed to be full, but in the reports of people on the ground were not. Many petitions had only one signature on them, etc.

For the last month, more emails, more social media posts, more spin about how close they were to qualifying… and now this.

They even upped the pay per signature to $2, as they started paying for signatures at $1 a piece a few weeks ago. There is little evidence that more than a few people attempted to earn some money in this manner.

You can see from the screenshots that Tim Donnelly is front and center in this effort. Does he know that Lauren Stephens went and filed the initiative on 9/23 – three days ago and five days before the deadline for the referendum?

IN early September – the natives started getting restless.

Only July 2nd, we predicted the failure of this effort due to the motives of Ms. Stephens.

Beware – because an initiative is now coming your way.

Plot Twist #2 – What Was McClintock’s Motive Behind Leaving the Freedom Caucus?

Tom McClintock  Comments Off on Plot Twist #2 – What Was McClintock’s Motive Behind Leaving the Freedom Caucus?

Every action a politician makes has meaning. On 9/16/2015 a seemingly insignificant story about Congressman Tom McClintock leaving the Freedom Caucus hit the wire. We caught the story and covered it. The questions we asked at that time were why is Tom McClintock going “native”?

Now, we have more questions. Embattled Republican House Speaker John Boehner (who McClintock supported) has retired from Congress altogether. In this article from the Conservative Book Club, the Freedom Caucus was fingered as the prime mover behind forcing Boehner out. I am sure this site is not the only one to make that connection.

When something this major is coming down – people in the building will know for weeks. John Boehner is a Catholic, so it stood to reason that he was going to be supported until after the papal visit so he could leave with dignity after seeing the world leader of his church.

So, was the timing of McClintock resigning from the Freedom Caucus deliberate? The Congressman had to know about the leadership shuffle coming. It is also known that McClintock and McCarthy know each other well – dating back to when they both were in State-Level Office.

Due to the recent challenge to McClintock by Art Moore and McClintock’s reaction to it, one must take a close look at every move. One possible motive for the public departure from the Freedom Caucus was for positioning purposes and a possible bid for a leadership position in McCarthy’s government. Were McClintock to be in a leadership position, a challenger would have a far more difficult time of it. It is a fair conclusion to assume that Eric Cantor’s amazing defeat is still fresh in the mind of many in congress, not just McClintock.

If McClintock is either not in line or is unsuccessful in his bid for a leadership position, then one could conclude that his departure from the Freedom Caucus was a miscalculation. This departure is a risk to McClintock as it may alienate him from his eroding Tea Party base.

The complaints about incumbent politicians are starting to cross all ideological lines and no one is safe from the failure of leadership in Washington D.C. Discerning voters need to scrutinize every move (or lack thereof) made by every politician. We are sure more will be revealed.

Plot Twist – Sacramento Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan Retires

Question: Will there be a move from El Dorado County to Sacramento County? Capitol Sources tell this blogger that realtors have been contacted related to rental properties in that area. The pay for a Sac County Supervisor is $130k a year + a ton of benefits. The district is N/E Sacramento County which overlaps the current AD06 District. It makes you wonder…

County Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan: It’s Time To Give Someone Else A Turn.
SACRAMENTO – Today, County Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan announced that she will not be seeking re-election to the Board of Supervisors in 2016 for the term starting January, 2017.
“I have accomplished most of the goals I set when first elected in 2004,” said MacGlashan. “We helped put the county on stronger financial footing, restored the commitment to public safety, and weathered the deepest economic downturn of the century.  It has been a privilege and an honor serving the people of Sacramento County – one I will never forget.  But now it’s time to give another leader the chance to represent District 4 and tackle the new challenges facing Sacramento County.”
MacGlashan was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2004, and has been re-elected twice.  Prior to her election to the Board of Supervisors, she served two terms as Councilmember and Mayor of Citrus Heights.
She has won praise and awards from groups ranging from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association,  Veterans’ groups, Deputy Sheriff’s Association, North State BIA, American Planning Association, Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce, and Antelope High School Marching Band.
At this time, MacGlashan is not endorsing a candidate to replace her.
“I have not made a decision regarding what I will do next,” said MacGlashan.  “I’m convinced that we need common sense leaders to put our state and nation back on track, and I will consider those opportunities carefully.”

I did not support MacGlashan when she first ran. Team Doolittle supported Bob Walters.
She proved to be a very stable conservative voice on the Sacramento Board and represented it well. She will be missed. Here’s hoping we get someone else to replace her that has real connections to the district, with similar talent and ability to govern.
