Major Williams, grifter of the year (although Bill Brough is right up there as well), has finally filed a campaign report, for the first time in over a year! The problem is there’s still a few reports missing in between. Hence, a “Major” problem still exists.

You see he never filed any reports for 2021, when two were due. He finished 2020 with over $130k in the bank and then, POOF, it was gone and is still unaccounted for as of today. Are you warming up for a new career as a magician Major? The “disappearing campaign funds” act.

The report that just got filed is for Jan 1 through April 23 of this year. What happened to last year Major? You still got some ‘splaining to do.

The starting balance was zero for the current report. Does that mean you finished 2021 with zero in the bank? Hmm. Where’s that $130k from the end of 2020? POOF!!!

This intrepid blogger wonders if you’re aware that filing a false report could be construed as perjury?

In all fairness, you did raise a whopping $1800.08 since the first of the year and spent it all, except for .04 (you’re slippin’ Major, leaving money on the table) and there wasn’t even a limo bill on the report. Have you finally acquired a sense of austerity?

Bonus Round: Three new complaints have been added to Major’s existing cases by none other than the FPPC itself. Seven complaints in all. Not good MW. Let that sink in, the FPPC filed on him, not anyone else.

P.S. The last report before the election was due this last Thursday, the 26th. No surprise, it hasn’t been filed.

Courtney La Paul Williams has been a very bad boy. “Major” Williams has not done his paperwork. The mid-year report was due to the secretary of state three months ago. It makes one wonder what is going on? Don’t Major’s supporters deserve an explanation of what was done with the money donated? (Especially since Courtney LaPaul Major Williams did not file for election)

It is becoming more and more apparent that there’s something Major does not want anyone to know and it equally appears that Major is willing to forego the law to keep that secret. At this point Major has racked up at least $1800 in fines and it’s increasing by $20 every day.

I am wondering if Major had too many chargebacks from his previous credit card processor that put him in the red? One possible explanation for Major’s refusal to obey the law is that you can’t file a report with a negative Cash on Hand balance.

Perhaps it is more serious than that? There appears to be a nice little LLC scam where donors thought they were giving to the Major Williams for Governor campaign but in reality the money was headed for that LLC.

It’s public record that Major Williams has an open FPPC complaint initiated by the Commission, with two additional ones added to the original. It is unusual when the FPPC starts looking at a campaign without any prompting! This means there is something seriously wrong.

It appears that Major Williams is a leading candidate for “Grifter of The Year” from the Right On Daily blog.

Courtney LaPaul Williams. Yes – he is running for Governor, telling people to write him in… while fundraising. But Courtney LaPaul has a Major problem. He is ripping people off and is hiding the money. He is basically two months late on filing his campaign finance reports. (((Please note the url has changed to www.rightondailyblog.com – please change your bookmarks.)))

This is a major no-no and is typically only done by candidates with stuff to hide.

In the land of political grifters, some fall harder than others. Take Major Williams for instance. He raised over $300k last year but has yet to now file a semi-annual report for the first half of 2021.

Let’s look at the possible reasons why.

First off, he spends lavishly on his campaign. $2500 limo rentals for one. He did this on multiple occasions! There are Bodyguards as well. https://rightondailyblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Williams-460-2020.pdf

Why does he need these? No other candidate needs them. Could it be he’s financing a lifestyle he otherwise couldn’t afford unless he was campaigning for office? We call these types of people political grifters: living off their campaign contributions tax-free no less as campaigns don’t pay taxes. Wonder what the IRS and FTB would have to say about this?

Perhaps Courtney LaPaul is going to become a rapper again?

His campaign’s credit card processor, Anedot, terminated his account several weeks back. This isn’t something that’s done lightly. You really have to screw up for them to do this. Sometimes, it involves a lot of chargebacks\refunds which make the underwriters nervous. We won’t mention the other possibilities, but none are good. This is all speculation mind you but his credit card processing cancellation was a fact. He has a new processor that I’ve never heard of.

I’d bet this new processor was chosen because they don’t vet their customers.

A check of public records shows he’s been through two treasurers since he started his campaign. The First one was short lived and the other ended a a while ago. He’s now acting as his own treasurer. That sounds a lot like Bill Brough. I Wonder what sort of behavior ended that relationship? Usually, it’s because of questionable spending activity on the part of the candidate and treasurers have enough to worry about and don’t need a candidate going rouge on them. But, who knows for sure.

Meanwhile, he has yet to file his mid-year report. Not a good sign. If he’s really on his own now, he’s got to be flailing at this point.

Like we said, he has “major” problems. Pun intended.

But then there is this – recent facebook posting:

Courtney LaPaul should have paid attention to Susan.

I was told a story about Major Williams and some incident he had with a women’s federated group. When I was attempting to prove the accounts of the incident, I went looking for answers.

What I Found was a disturbing thread from some dude named Rob Pyers that a lot of insiders follow. Mr. Williams has to post his FEC/FPPC report soon and it should be pretty ugly. IT will look like Joe Collins or Bill Brough.

IN the meantime, let’s have a look at a few things Major… From Axios we get the following:

  • Williams, a Republican, failed to qualify for the recall ballot, which the California secretary of state’s office officially released last weekend.
  • State records show he hadn’t even filed much of the paperwork required to earn a spot. Williams’ campaign, which raised nearly $300,000, was “almost borderline fraudulent,” Perez wrote.
  • In a series of Instagram posts this week, Williams blamed the paperwork errors on his staff and what he described as the forced closure of the campaign’s bank account. He also announced his intention to run as a write-in candidate.

What Williams has already won is extensive earned media, particularly from conservative outlets. He even landed a coveted interview on the Fox News morning program “Fox & Friends.”

  • Williams has continued asking for donations, even after being cut off by the online payment processor Anedot. “Our Accounts team became aware of certain information and closed the account,” an Anedot spokesperson told Axios.
  • Williams’ campaign referred questions to statements on his Instagram account, in which he’s denied he’s in the race to boost his personal profile. “I don’t want to be this social media influencer,” he said in one video this week.
  • But he’s turned to the influencer monetization platform Monytize, where Williams is now steering his social media followers. He’s also selling merchandise at the website AmerciaForever.com, which says in a disclaimer, “This is a private, for-profit business. No allifiation [sic] with” the Williams campaign.

Imagine that. We’ve written about Joe Collins and his con job. We’ve written about William “Bill” Brough. Now, here we go with Major Woody. His con got so bad that Anedot.com terminated his account.

Let’s have a look at Major “woody” Williams for Governor…

So Courtney La Paul Williams has had quite a history of reinventing himself to run his latest game it looks like. I don’t think he cared weather or not he made the recall ballot – in fact, in some regards, his life got easier by failing to qualify.

Some campaign finance regulator is going to get a major woody looking at this guy’s filings.

So – Major Williams raised $300K for his Governor run but never bothered to even take his papers?

The natural question to ask is what happened to the money? I will bet that Major Woody was on the Joe Collins campaign plan… just a hunch.
