Current CAGOP Chair Jessica Patterson was paid $12K a month by California Trailblazers up until her election as CAGOP Chairman. #TRAILFAILURES as I called it. During its’ existence, the CAGOP went backwards 13 legislative seats. I see at least 4 more being added to the total this fall (more on that soon).

I had pointed out the relationship between Tyler Diep and Jessica Patterson as a potential reason why the CAGOP IGNORED the OCGOP and left the disturbed and corrupt Tyler Diep CAGOP endorsed. Tyler had a slew of terrible votes (and campaign coffers stuffed with union money) to go along with.

Duane Dichara (aka Axiom) was Tyler Diep’s consultant. Mr. Dichara is also someone being paid by the legislative caucus for “strategy”. (This is in addition to the $25,000 a month David Carney) Could this relationship also have contributed to the CAGOP’s refusal to honor the action of the OCGOP? Bryan Watkins, who is also on the CAGOP payroll had a pre-existing relationship with Tyler Diep as previously noted.

You will see what I believe was part of Tyler Diep’s Payoff to stab Travis Allen in the chest

Tyler Diep was set up to run for AD72 due in no small part to the goodwill of Travis Allen, the former AD72 member. Also note that the California Trailfailures was quietly closed down in December of 2019.

Sometimes in politics – Justice is served. Tyler Diep is gone. Bill Brough is gone. California Trailblazers is gone. Both incumbents losing are due to grassroots and local political leaders – and have NOTHING to do with Statewide leaders who defended the status quo. The good news is that there is now a crack in the psychotic grasp of the Oligarchy of Controlled Failure that can not be sealed back up.

Diep-Sixed.

One of the old adages amongst the 1990’s era-consultants in crisis management was to dig in and feed critics static to outlast them. Fortunately, your intrepid blogger has really good hands and the ability to type fast. The CAGOP Leadership have been rightly getting criticized for doubling-down on failure, like the Corrupt Tyler Diep in AD72.

It looks like they have another dumpster fire in CA-43. Joe Collins:

The California GOP Endorsed a Man who said his bodily fluids were worth $15 Million. Maybe the “Leadership” will finally meet and undo a couple of endorsements.

Now – in defense of the CAGOP leadership, the other candidate Omar Navarro is equally as insane.

Omar has been in jail in San Francisco County since December. It takes a lot of skill to be incarcerated in San Francisco that long as they love letting scum out of jail quickly. The Omar Navarro, Deanna Lorraine story is one for the ages. (refer to all of my posts about Deanna in CA-12 for an expose’ on what a disaster she is)

Joe Collins was the other guy in CA-43. Apparently, he knew just enough of the right BS to say to the LAGOP that was looking for anyone with a pulse to take on Omar.

In AD-72 Diep was the default because he is the incumbent. They did not do their homework to understand Tyler has major issues beyond his support of some horrific legislation. Instead, they have ignored the boots on the ground. And, now their indifference to doing research has manifest itself once again in CA-43.

It is likely that Omar will still beat Joe Collins in the CA-43 Primary while sitting in a jail cell.

  • The California GOP endorsed former Green Party presidential candidate Joe Collins in his bid to unseat Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters.
  • Collins claimed his bodily fluids were worth $15 million in a lawsuit he filed against San Diego in 2017.
  • Collins has switched political parties four times since entering the arena in late 2016, Federal Election Commission records show.
  • Collins had $22 in his checking account in April 2018, court documents show. Now he’s running a congressional campaign that has raised $761,000.

Steve Frank and your intrepid blogger tried to warn you and now the Daily Caller has gotten ahold of this guy.

The California Republican Party endorsed a former Green Party presidential candidate who once claimed that his bodily fluids were worth $15 million in a lawsuit that, according to a lawyer, appears to have evoked the fringe legal theories of the sovereign citizen movement.

Navy veteran Joe Collins has also raised nearly $761,000 for his longshot bid to unseat 15-term Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters, campaign records show. He first entered the political arena as an anti-Trump presidential candidate in November 2016 and has since switched political parties four times, most recently to a pro-Trump Republican.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we may have seen Joe Collins leapfrog Sean Feucht and Deanna Lorraine for Grifter of the Year.

Collins told the DCNF that his extensive campaign-funded travel is justified because the district he’s seeking to represent “doesn’t have the funds to donate to take on the most hated and corrupt female politician in the country. Therefore, I need to get financial support all over the country.”

And Collins reported to the FEC in a July 2019 campaign filing that the consulting firm, Pure Strategy Solutions, shared the same address as his campaign. In subsequent filings, the consulting firm was listed as having an address in Beverly Hills, and starting in October campaign filings show the firm having an address in Delaware.

There are no records in California’s business registry of Pure Strategy Solutions, and the firm’s apparent website merely says “coming soon” and offers no information about what they do.

Collins told the DCNF that it was “definitely an error” that he listed Pure Strategy Solutions as having the same address of his campaign in his July 2019 filing. But Collins did not address any follow-up questions about his relationship to the firm.

Instead, he sent the DCNF a cease and desist notice he authored with no apparent legal representation, saying the DNCF does not “have the right nor my permission to question me.”

Collins wrote in the notice that the DCNF’s questions involving his “closed Presidential Campaign, court proceedings and questions regarding the personal finances and dealings of Joe Collins’s private life” were “defamatory.”

Attempts to reach Pure Strategy Solutions were unsuccessful.

Good Lord. Dear CAGOP Leadership – pull your heads out, get on the phone and pull the endorsements of Tyler Diep and Joe Collins.

I am not sure why the Leadership in the CAGOP care so much about trying to save this guy. This has to be another one of those “We can’t let “Them” take out one of our members things.

I got something emailed to me after I started blasting Tyler Diep. I knew Diep was a disaster, but have a look at this:

AB 277 McCarty

Early felony release from parole

AYE    Assm Public Safety             3/12/2019

AB 964 Medina

Mandates in-person visitation rights for county inmates, without regard to facility design, space, staff, or cost to construct.

AYE    Assm Public Safety             4/2/2019

AB 1215 Ting

Ban on facial recognition used with body camera recordings

AYE    Assm Public Safety             4/23/2019

AYE    Assm Floor                            5/9/2019

AYE    Assm Concurrence              9/12/2019

SB 136 Wiener

Eliminates one-year sentence enhancement for repeat, violent felons.  This will now apply to about 10,000 habitual, violent inmates. Another early release bill.

AYE    Assm Approps                      8/302019

AYE    Assm Floor                            9/12/2019

SB 42 Skinner

Requires the sheriff to allow the person to stay in jail or offer a safe place to stay if the inmate declines release during evening and early morning hours.  Such a mandate creates space and cost challenges that would likely need to avoid keeping this population away from persons not free to leave. SB 42 requires the sheriff to provide free transportation to a location of the person’s choosing within the county or within a 100-mile radius, whichever is further.  For geographically large counties, small or rural counties with staffing limitations, and counties that release a significant number of inmates on a daily basis, this unfunded mandate will cripple the provision of other services and turn peace officers and sheriffs’ staff into drivers who will spend their days traversing the county at the whim of recently released inmates. This bill was so onerous that even Gov. Newsom found it objectionable and he vetoed the bill.

AYE    Assm Approps                      8/30/2019

AYE    Assm Floor                            9/12/2019

There is a reason why I believe that Tyler Diep bolts the GOP – he is rightly being held accountable for these and other horrendous decisions. His campaign account is full of extreme left wing donations and the Nurses Union (as far left as the SEIU) are pouring money in an attempt to save him.

Anyone that cares about public safety and the ability of cops to do their job should reject Tyler Diep post-haste.

This is what I like to see. GOP Groups taking out the trash.

Let’s start with Tyler Diep – who in the opinion of this blogger will Bolt the GOP after the March Primary. Note – Prop 14 does NOT require the top two candidates to runoff with the party preference they took in the primary. The individual is the nominee, and has nothing to do with the political parties. To think, every time a resolution to oppose Prop 14 has been brought up, the party apparatus has killed it. Tyler Diep will join the Chad Mayes Party in March, perhaps he waits until November if he survives both halves of the election. (But my money is on March for him to Diep in to the ranks of NPP)

Similar to how the Orange County Realtors continue to support William “Bill” Brough in defiance of the facts – they are also pouring money in to the corrupt Tyler Diep because they believe it will buy influence with him. (That is the only conclusion I can draw for why a local group would continue investing in such people of low character)

Of note – Matt Fleming who is a paid consultant of the CAGOP wrote an op ed defending Tyler Diep a day before former OCGOP Chair Scott Baugh tore him apart.

Secondly, the CAGOP’s BY-Laws indicate that for a candidate to have a CAGOP endorsement, they must have at least 80% of the underlying counties. Tyler Diep now has 0% of the underlying counties. Will the CAGOP follow its’ own by-laws and yank the endorsement? (If Matt Fleming has anything to say, nothing will happen)

Live action shot of Bill Brough on the 241 Freeway

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – Hon. Fred M. Whitaker, Chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County, released the following statement regarding the endorsement of Assemblyman Tyler Diep:

Yesterday evening Republican Party of Orange County Central Committee met in Executive Session to discuss the Petition of Assemblyman Matthew Harper to rescind the endorsement of Assemblyman Tyler Diep.

The petition was based on a series of votes incongruent with the Republican platform. After a comprehensive discussion and debate, the endorsement of Assemblyman Diep was rescinded by a majority vote, as required by our bylaws.

Chairman Whitaker stated – “This is a sad day when an incumbent Republican member of the legislature loses the local party endorsement, but the party felt there had to be accountability for voting patterns. There are two Republicans running in the primary for the 72nd Assembly District, and the voters can decide which one best represents their district without a recommendation from the local party.”

Assemblyman Diep is still endorsed by the California Republican Party.

And, then there is the curious case of the raging alcoholic Bill Brough. The booze must have been talking in his last email:

Brough has built a vast organization for his March 3 re-election. The resources allow Brough to get his message out and counter the negative, dishonest attacks by his opponents. Comparing fundraising numbers, electoral and a proven conservative record, it is clear that Brough is in the best position to win in March.

Everyone whines about attacks being dishonest which is why your intrepid blogger cites sources, uses photos and provides links to articles and documents. I’d encourage Brough to put the bottle of Popov down and have a look at the dozens of media articles and thousands of pages of public records related to him. Perhaps this is the vast organization he was referring to?

Two other “Vast Organizations” lit him up good: (But in Brough’s mind intoxication it is all about his sudden opposition to the 241 Toll Road expansion…)

ORANGE COUNTY REPUBLICAN LEADERS JOIN AND CALL ON ASSEMBLYMAN BILL BROUGH TO RESIGN

Two Orange County Republican leaders today demanded the immediate resignation of Assemblyman Bill Brough from office (R – Assembly District 73).

At least four women have publicly accused Brough of unwanted sexual advances and inappropriate touching. Brough is currently under investigation by the California Assembly for some of the accusations.

“It’s time for Bill Brough to step aside, resign, and open the door for a candidate who can represent South County without degrading the name of the Republican Party,” said John Warner, President of The Lincoln Club of Orange County.

Steve Craig, Chairman of The New Majority joined in the demand. The Lincoln Club of Orange County is the oldest conservative donor group in California. The New Majority is a powerful right-leaning political action organization.

“The allegations against Mr. Brough are serious, and we take them seriously. Every one of Mr. Brough’s constituents should too,” said Craig. “South County deserves a representative who isn’t dogged by allegations of the worst kind of behavior toward women.”

The Republican Party of Orange County in September called on Brough to not seek reelection and to retire at the end of his current term.

Several accusers have made their stories public through press reports: One said that, after almost two years of sexual comments and advances, Brough pressed himself against her at a Sacramento hotel in 2015 and propositioned her for sex. In 2011, according to another accuser, Brough grabbed her by the shoulders from behind, propositioned her, and refused to let her go. A third said that in 2018 Brough put his hand on a wall behind her, blocked her from moving, and began touching her face and neck. She says he told her, “We should get out of here… You look like the kind of girl who would like to have fun.”

“Accusations about Brough’s conduct have been made by women who knew Mr. Brough and worked with or around him, including an elected Orange County Supervisor,” said Mr. Craig. “Several of them told friends shortly after Mr. Brough approached them and have filed formal complaints against him. They’ve taken risks by coming forward.”

Brough is the County’s only incumbent elected official who hasn’t been endorsed by the Orange County Republican Party or the California Republican Party. Because of the accusations, The Lincoln Club of Orange County and The New Majority rescinded their endorsements of Brough in September.

Brough was also warned by the California Fair Political Practices Commission about the misuse of campaign funds for a week-long trip to Paris in July of 2016. That commission is also said to be investigating a complaint alleging that Brough spent roughly $200,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses over four years including meals, cigars, a custom liquor cabinet, cell phone bills, and family vacations.

Brough is the Assemblyman for California’s 73rd Assembly District, which includes Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, San Clemente and other South Orange County cities and county areas.

Good for these groups.

Tyler Diep

Dec 272019

I kid you not. Tyler Diep’s crew are claiming that Janet Nguyen will leave the GOP before he does.

This is the mantra I am hearing from the inside.

Whazzup Tyler!?

All I can tell you at this point is the Tyler Diep vs Janet Nguyen Race is going to be ugly. Neither are perfect Republicans by far.

What I can also tell you is that Tyler Diep has several issues that were not fully vetted as he did not draw a serious GOP opponent in 2018.

If you’ve read right on daily, then you know I have been all over Assemblyman Bill Brough in AD73, next door to AD72. Brough’s maladies are lengthy and it took 4 1/2 months of constant pounding in order to get Republican “Leadership” to just begin to deal with Brough. (Note: all the donor groups and party groups have since endorsed Laurie Davies over Brough)

Your intrepid blogger has been told by party insiders that the lack of discipline in the GOP Caucuses is having far reaching effects.

#1 Several members are alleged to have had meetings to negotiate leaving the GOP. Tyler Diep is just one of them. Names include Jordan Cunningham (remember has was to have been the third member of the defect caucus with Mayes and Maienschein), along with Tom Lackey, and Ling Ling Ling Chang. There are other names I’ve been told, but I tossed these three out as examples.

Why is Jordan Cunningham Getting Campaign Cash from the Teacher’s Union? Perhaps they know he will soon be a dem?

#2 It is every man for themselves inside the caucus. Note that Senator Brian Jones, in just his first year in the senate is trying to bolt to Congress. People like Philip Chen and Stephen Choi are out on respective islands.

#3 The CAGOP leadership have been held at bay by the Party Caucus leadership – while the consultants running the CAGOP operation have attempted to strangle the flow of information coming out, limiting access and attempting to control candidate recruitment. In their minds attempting to communicate with Travis Allen’s or Steve Frank’s supporters would only give them power. It is a sad 90’s era consultant paradigm of power and control… but it also explains

#4 Leadership / CAGOP people are attempting to tell candidates for office who to hire for their consultant and day-to-day managers. The implied threats if they use an “undesirable” are loss of endorsement and funding. I have firsthand knowledge in one race and secondhand knowledge in three more, I will be following up on this in a separate post.

#5 In SD23, it is alleged that Party “Leadership” applied pressure to both the San Bernardino GOP and Riverside GOP in order to get the endorsement of the pre-determined candidate of leadership. With the outcome determined, the containment of the behind the scenes action was broken thus forcing the drama to the surface. This is not a good look for a race that is going to be a difficult hold for the CAGOP.

Contrast SD23 to AD74 where the Party Leadership was unable to rally an endorsement of Diane Dixon as a handful of influencers expended themselves in blocking a party endorsement that will only forestall the inevitable outcome. More than one person on the ground in AD74 has indicated that Kelly Ernby has not acquitted herself well. That is actually sad as Ernby could be an excellent candidate with discipline and training.

The bottom line – it would take a miracle for the State Level GOP to get through 2020 with no losses of seats. AD74 and AD38 are winnable as a pick up, but other seats are on the tracks including AD55, AD68, AD74 (orange county) and AD75 (Voepel in SD County under the CA-50 Duncan Hunter Seat). Jordan Cunningham and Tom Lackey are also both extremely vulnerable. That is 6 incumbent Republicans with a significant chance of losing. AD-72 is a bonus 7th and despite the mantra – AD72 was in play with or without a Janet Nguyen vs Tyler Diep grudge match.

In the State Senate SD23 (Open Morrell), SD21 (Wilk), SD29 (Ling Ling Ling) and SD28 (Open Stone), SD37 (Moorlach) are all marginal and could be lost. That is 5 more Incumbent Republicans with a significant chance of losing.

Now, layer on top of the above list the very real chance that some of the members could jump parties even if they win.

With a dozen seats on the tracks you’d think “Leadership” would be more proactive and welcoming in order to bring in as much help as possible. Nope. It seems the risk of loss of control is overriding proven methods of real leadership and influence.

There are two constants – #1 It does not matter win or lose as long as “they” are in control. #2 the average legislator could care less if the GOP Caucus shrinks to 5 members as long as they are one of them. This is the brutal reality behind the “Oligarchy of Controlled Failure” I reference.
