Blogger’s Note: I was Steve Frank’s campaign manager in 2021 when he ran for Chair of the CAGOP.

I’ve stopped asking why. I am convinced that what I am seeing was foretold in the classic book “Lord of the Flies”. This is the only explanation I can muster for what I am seeing.

The battle lines are pretty clear for CAGOP office. Corrin Rankin, John Park (no Relation), Sayrs Morris and Robert Rego on the side of Sanity, versus Mike Morrell and crew. Further, I can only draw the conclusion that Mike Morrell (he, a former State Senator) approves of the psychosis being carried out on his behalf.

You will see the comment from a former State Senate candidate calling Corrin Rankin – who was a down-the-escalator, day ONE Trump supporter – a communist. You will also observe that Bill Essayli, a Conservative firebrand that the lobbyists in Sacramento can’t stand is now relegated to scum status by the anti-CAGOP crowd. Either you are with them or you are against them – nothing else matters.

These same luminaries have lied repeatedly against Rankin, calling her a DEI candidate. Would they hurl this at a non-black candidate? Would they hurl the above attack against Essayli if he was white as a sheet and not Lebanese?

This is what you have to look forward to if Mike Morrell and his crew get elected.

Leave us not forget, the attacks against Bill and Corrin are not the only racist tropes that have come out of this crew:

I wonder if the person who posted that vile message—and the other who liked it—are still happy about it now that the savagery and atrocities of Hamas are being exposed. John Paul White is a sitting CAGOP board member and should be expelled from the CAGOP Board, and the others pushing such garbage should get the Grcar treatment as well.

There is one thing – these people aren’t prejudiced, they hate everyone equally – Blacks, Jews and Arabs. I can’t wait to see what’s next for them…

Speaking of Joseph Grcar – he and Allison Hayden broke in to the Alameda GOP HQ while the Alameda GOP was organizing VIA zoom due to people’s concerns regarding threats on their safety. While Hayden had a key to the HQ, they were not authorized to be there and the stunt resulted in police activity.

Undaunted, these knuckleheads staged their own shadow party meeting and then protested to the CAGOP to recognize their meeting, not the actual party meeting. They were rejected and now the opposition is claiming “We Wuz Robbed”.

Again, re-read the above two paragraphs to understand the utter lack of self-awareness in this crew.

In Marin County where they won an outright majority, they could not organize and were stripped of their four appointed delegates because they allowed their organizational meeting to devolve in to a Tom Hudson rage-fest. Even when they win, they can’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

Steve Frank has sent out several of his Heard on the Tom-Tom’s emails that are named after a deceased (for about 15 years) former officer of the CAGOP. I would bet she’d tell Steve to stop using her name given the outright lies and the 90% untruths that it has been replete with the last 60 days. About the only thing correct are the names, even though Frank likes to misspell a lot of words.

As the election is going worse for the opposition, the hysteria is growing worse and the spiral is easy to discern.

Beyond the Alameda GOP stunt, I have been told of at least two other counties where physical threats occurred. One person indicated that opponents of their chair had called employers and/or business associates of central committee members not aligned with them. I am waiting for on-the-record confirmations with specifics and I will name names. Given the verifiable threats, what I am seeing on line, the above is plausible. The opposition is completely out of control and would decimate the CAGOP should they prevail in the election.

Lastly, it is laughable that Steve Frank is invoking the MAGA movement and Donald Trump in his posts. Knowing Mr. Frank as I do, and having had conversations with him about the subject of Trump, he is a skeptic of Trump at best.

This is embarrassing. These are not conservative values. This needs to stop.

I like Peter Kuo, I always have. I have however come to the conclusion that he is not qualified for a senior position in leadership of the CAGOP.

Corrin Rankin is articulate, brilliant, and accomplished. She is capable of thinking on her feet and is able to deviate from the script in order to answer people’s questions directly. It is my observation that Peter Kuo lacks the depth of knowledge and expertise on how to run an effective political organization.

Corrin Rankin is a self-made woman who made the decision to close her business due to the extreme leftist policies enacted by those currently controlling California (When they abolished Bail, this ended Corrin’s Bail Bonds Business). Fortunately for us, this means she can take on the role of Vice Chair full-time.

I have concerns about Peter Kuo’s business ventures in China including dealings with Russian business interests to build aircraft, among other projects for two reasons. It isn’t because I think Robert Mueller is going to send 29 FBI Agents with MP5’s, M4’s, M92’s and the like to his house… rather, Mr. Kuo has a frequent habit of being out of the country for extended periods of time which may inhibit his ability to perform his duties.

This is in China where Mr. Kuo is about 50% of the time.

Our party needs a full-time Vice Chair now more than ever. Corrin will be available to lead precinct walks, phone banking, train volunteers, raise money, help our affiliated organizations, and the like.

Will Peter Kuo even be able to make it to all the CAGOP Board Meetings let alone be an active participant in operations to reclaim lost ground?

I’ve also yet to see Mr. Kuo expand his reach outside of the Bay Area sphere. It is my professional opinion that Mr. Kuo’s failure to expand his reach is due to his extended periods of time away from California. In just the last few weeks, he was in Las Vegas and Indonesia amongst other places.

Kuo is long known for his shtick of playing his violin for groups after giving the similar verbal presentation he has given for years. The violin presentation does indeed leave and impression and may well have influenced two statewide grassroots groups to endorse Mr. Kuo.

Before I accepted an advertisement on Right on Daily from Corrin Rankin, I spoke to her at some length. I’d encourage any of you with a vote in the CAGOP Convention to take a few minutes to visit her website. Reach out to her as well. She is compelling.

Peter Kuo is not a bad guy. I just believe that he lacks the depth and availability that Corrin Rankin has. Corrin offers us a unique combination of talent, experience, resume and availability that a group of unpaid volunteers (with the exception of the Chair who can be paid) sorely needs.

I have had a rule for years, I won’t work for a candidate or accept advertising from a candidate I would not support or work for as a volunteer. Corrin Rankin won me over, she will win you over too.

Did you know that Corrin Rankin has run a business, served on the boards of non-profits aiding in rescuing at least two of them from ruin? That alone should move her to the top of your list for consideration.

She is also a small business owner, having owned a Bail Bond business for a number of years. Since the state of California banned Bail Bonds, she knows better than most what it is like to run a business in California. She deserves serious consideration by all.

See her platform below:

The California Republican Party is in unprecedented peril. We’ve all heard the countless reasons of how we got here. While I believe that understanding our past and knowing our shortcomings is critical, we cannot afford to dwell upon the glory days of the past. Instead, we must look to the future and work towards success.

As a party, we must uniterebuild, and grow.

This is the ethos driving my platform, and the reason why I decided to run for Vice Chair of the California Republican Party.

It’s imperative that we unite. As America’s first Republican president said, “a house divided against itself cannot stand.” Our party has been plagued with internal divisions for too long. This negatively affects our ability to persuade voters, raise money, organize, and win elections. We must put our minor differences aside to defeat Democrats.

Republican Party registration in California is at a historic low, our political apparatuses are $1 million+ in debt, and our antiquated tactics and strategies have proven unable to win competitive elections. We need to do an honest assessment of where we are at in order to identify our strengths and weaknesses.

Then, we must rebuild. To do so, we must adopt innovative strategies to win elections, improve our technologies and campaign infrastructure, and evolve our messaging and marketing. We must also defend what we have left while going on the offense so we can start winning seats back.

We must also focus on growing our party. At 24 percent voter registration we cannot afford to continue our dive into the depths of irrelevance through attrition. Saying we need voter registration drives is nice, but we must concurrently develop the tools and messages required to get new voters and bring decline-to-states and Democrats into the big Republican tent.

This is how together we turn our situation around. We have to be in the fight to win the fight. Currently, we are fighting from the outside. No amount of changing our logo is going to solve this – we all need to roll up our sleeves and get to work.

We have to use our talent, infrastructure, and resources wisely. In cities where we are drastically outnumbered, we need to increase (or begin) neighborhood involvement.

As your next full-time Vice Chair, I will work to bring people together, create a consensus and develop local, neighborhood-based solutions that will brings us back into prominence across our beautiful state.

I look forward to working with you to make this happen and I ask for your vote at the California Republican Party convention in February.

I believe that Corrin offers a huge upside for the CAGOP and should be taken seriously by all the delegates. Please join me in voting for her for CAGOP Vice Chairman
