That assumes that all of the write-ins were for Karen England.

Please support Amanda “Mandie” Tingler, Glenn Moeller and Todd Lowell.

Quite simply, the Rocklin Unified School Board needs some change.

For too long there has been personal animosity that has overridden the best interests of governance.

I have spoken with Todd Lowell a few times and am convinced that Todd does indeed have the best interests of the children at heart. I also empathize with him about how it feels to get used as a punching bag.

Steve Paul. I do not know him at all.

Having met Glenn Moeller a few times – he has tripped over his own feet campaigning several times… but he wants to serve and he is also an honest man. We can do far worse.

I believe that others see that – which is why this race has not gotten nasty. How can you attack a music leader at a local church?

Amanda Tingler? She’s a Republican, Wendy Lang is not. Case closed.

With respect to those supporting Wendy – there is no such thing as a non-partisan race.

I have probably cost myself a few endorsements and supporters if I run for Rocklin City Council – but that is not the calculation. I am a Conservative first, a Republican second and a candidate third and I am willing to live with the consequences.

Once the primary is over – then I am a Republican – which is why I am voting for Abel Maldonado and Meg Whitman.

The Bizarre Tour of the Reverend Karen England Continues –

At the Tea Party Meeting in Roseville – it was reported to this blogger that Karen England ranted about Abel Maldonado, but she forgot the part about not picking up the Prop 8 case… I thought the Tea Party was about fiscal issues, not social issues?

In that same speech she said Abel Maldonado was going to lose anyway so she was ok running as she was not helping Newsome win!

If the race was going to be close, Karen would not run?

We think Karen England needs to admit that this gag is a fundraiser for the financially failing CRI (as reported to us by political insiders). There is no way this “campaign” is legitimate.

It is obvious that her game of political twister is getting out of hand and trying to keep track of the BS is getting overwhelming… in fact, we have a handy primer for you of just a handful of the lies of Karen England. (Not including her “evolving” reasons for running for Lt. Gov.)

Lie #1: She told the media she’d be resigning all her Republican Party positions out of disgust over the nominee. (it’s really because her “campaign” violates the by-laws of those organizations regarding post-primary activity.)

Lie #1A: The State CRA was forced to vacate her seat involuntarily on the State CRA Board of directors as she refused to step down. State Senate candidate Earl DeVries – also lost his seat on the State CRA Board of directors – but he resigned voluntarily.

Lie #2: Accusing the State CRA of rigging an endorsement of Ted Gaines

Lie #2A – she told someone that she was attempting to help Barbara Alby, not Roger Niello by telling Lie #2 noted above. (everyone knows Karen England hates Barbara Alby) But basically admitted Lie #2 in the same conversation.

Lie #??? – in March she refused to sign a Placer GOP Member’s nomination papers as she claimed she did not live in his district. They both live in District 4 – she knew that. In the grand scheme of things – this is a “small” lie and was several months ago… but if Karen England lies about the small things…

What we believe to be her Grand Lie: she’s a volunteer… look at all the posts about the timely donations to the CRI, which coincide with her support of candidates. ($6K then shows up for McClintock, $5K and supports Runner over two other conservatives, $27,500 to start world war III on behalf of Doug LaMalfa)

Karen is the Executive Director of CRI – taking money from electeds is the same as if I sold some of them Insurance Policies. It is a conflict of interest she refuses to voluntarily disclose – making it an ethical issue.

The carefully crafted Image is falling apart.

Consider – Those of us working campaigns in Placer County are living with the slander Karen has spread to groups of local volunteers in an effort to hinder our ability to help candidates we endorsed win.

Karen even told the local paper she was part of some sort of reform slate that was going to take over the Central Committee

Consider – She endorsed Moderates for local Central Committee in June and is supporting Roger Niello for State Senate over two more conservative candidates – Ted Gaines and Barbara Alby.

The Ultimate Lie – in our opinion is that her whole reason for running against Abel Maldonado is a complete sham… to be continued.

Anyone who thinks Karen’s campaign for Lt. Governor is about Conservative values needs to take a close look, based on her past and current behavior:

People in the Lincoln Tea Party were “bragging” that Karen could get 50 to 60 thousand votes in the upcoming election. So why run? Why risk being known for helping Gavin Newsome win if the election is close?

The Capitol Resource Institute is her main gig. For years – the CRI has paid for her to go on junkets to Republican conventions and other faith-based political conventions around the country. Others of us in politics usually pay out of our pocket for stuff like this.

We have been told that the CRI is on hard times financially – in fact, so hard of times that she is on half-time and all of their employees were released. Most recently, Meredith Turney went to work for Peter Foy in Southern California.

Karen will tell you she is at half-time to add jewels to her pending application for sainthood.

A series of desperate emails have gone out from the CRI recently – stating they will close their doors without money, City on the Hill will go away etc etc etc… (Too bad Oral Roberts isn’t around to tell people God will take him home without funding)

The whole thing is too well timed.

* England took a job with the Pro-Choice and Pro-Civil Union Steve Poizner for Governor Campaign in May 2010 to pay the bills as well. This gave the CRI about a 4 week break from paying her salary.

Capitol Resource Institute is a 501c3 non-profit which means you can dump campaign money in to it.

In 2008 for example – Congressman Tom McClintock emptied out some $6,000 from his State Account in to the CRI.

Incidently, Karen England subsequently supported McClintock’s campaign in 2008 for Congress.

She could very easily move left over money from her LG campaign back to the Capitol Resource Institute.

Publicity stunts are nothing new – the CRI raised thousands for an “effort” to overturn SB777 via referendum, but the effort never even got off the ground. Several legislators were bamboozled in to donating to that cause. More on that pay-to-play scheme later…

Be careful if you donate to the Karen Newsome for Lt. Governor campaign because Gavin England just might help subsidize her future payroll from her “Charity” with the money.

Steven Greenhut of the OC Register writes that a local Tea Party activist wants to mount a statewide Write-In campaign to help elect Gavin Newsome by syphoning votes off of Abel Maldonado.

Why? Abel refused to stand up for Prop 8. I thought the Tea Party was all about fiscal and not social issues?

Is this a publicity stunt or is this real?

Steven Greenhut: It’s more than a rumor California conservatives are actively recruiting a write-in candidate for lieutenant governor in response to Abel Maldonado’s refusal yesterday to sign onto the state’s appeal of the ruling overturning anti-gay-marriage Prop. 8. No one expects this conservative to have a shot at winning, but this possible candidacy is viewed as a means to bring up conservative ideas in a campaign between a liberal Republican and a liberal Democrat. For many activists we talked to, Maldonado’s refusal to file an appeal while he was acting governor (and was busy signing other laws as Schwarzenegger was out of the country) was the last straw in a career of tax hikes and government expansions. If the candidacy costs Lt. Gov. Maldonado the election, well there aren’t many conservatives who will be upset about that. One possible candidate is Karen England, executive director of the conservative Capitol Resource Institute and a long-time activist. Stay tuned.

Where was all this activism when Sam Aanestad was on the ballot against Abel?

Now Maldo is the nominee and anything other than voting for him is putting Gavin Newsome in that office. (Which may be Karen England’s goal – or again it could be a publicity stunt)
