CAGOP Asylum Update 3: Some More Endorsements and Intel From Your Intrepid Blogger

For those of you recently initiated to CAGOP internal officer election issues, Lani Kane was the Chair of the County Chair’s association. A personal tragedy set off the series of events that led to the unnecessary drama perpetrated by a couple folks in the County Chair’s Association. I have written plenty about that.

As a reminder, your intrepid blogger supports John Dennis for CCA Chair. Dennis is a Ron Paul Libertarian and people that have a tendency to see everything as a fight between the squish and the conservative tribe need to understand that Dennis is in neither camp. This is one of the many things that appeals to me about him.

To my longtime friend in the CRA that sent me the video of the organizing meeting the SFGOP had in Jan, I watched the video. I had written previously about the hair on fire election fraud conspiracy people attacking the Marin and the SFGOP in the name of the Steve Bannon Precinct Strategy. These people are wrong and destructive and need to be eliminated from the ranks of the GOP post haste. They believe that everyone that does not agree with them is wrong and a rino. There is therapy available for that sort of stupidity.

Please also note that some of the same hair on fire people have taken over the Washoe GOP and their behavior did indeed affect the outcome of Adam Laxalt’s failed US Senate Bid. (Laxalt lost Washoe County by 8k votes and lost by nearly the same margin statewide) One of the leaders of the Washoe GOP crowd has also had meetings with people in San Joaquin and Stanislaus County in an attempt to rally support for a similar coup in those counties.

It is ok to question the election, but assaulting people who disagree with you using paranoid conspiracy theories is destructive and alienates real conservatives like your intrepid blogger.

Speaking of San Joaquin County, their Chair Dwight Williams has endorsed John Dennis and pivoted to running against Johanna Lassaga of Yuba County for Vice Chair of the CCA. Williams was running for Chair of the CCA. (CCA = County Chairs Association) I respect Williams as a pastor, but I have seen little or nothing from him to build the GOP. Johanna is a hero in the North State for her efforts to bring the Yuba GOP back to a functional Central Committee as versus as fraudulent shell that only existed to produce 8 delegates for their consultant masters.

Even if I did not think Johanna was a rock star and a fine human being, I’d pick her over Dwight simply for what she did to resurrect the Yuba GOP. The most important metric for an endorsement for any party office is service to the party.

As you see above, Lani Kane is running for Second Vice Chair of said CCA. I don’t care who her opponent is, neither should you.

Lastly, I was informed that a crazed former Marine Colonel has decided to charge the shores of Clearlake for CAGOP Vice Chair Northwest. Other than providing people with a clear yardstick for the line of sanity, my guess is the challenge will help Bryan Pritchard obtain more votes than he already had.

Somewhere in the distance the doors of the asylum are flopping in the breeze…
