The same Big Government John that attempted to gut term limits in order to benefit himself also attempted to muzzle political opponents. John Moorlach voted to create an Orange County Version of the “Fair Political Practices Commission” – as in another government bureaucracy.

Voting against the plan were Supervisors Janet Nguyen, Pat Bates and Chris Norby. Such limitations and boards in other Southern California counties have only hurt those candidates who want to challenge incumbents and they are criminalizing free speech, Norby said.

Someone want to tell me what this “Conservative” was thinking, voting yes on this?

John Moorlach voted to muzzle people… while his supporters claim what a great conservative Moorlach is, they are willfully ignorant of Big Government John’s true nature.

“All these do in any of these counties is to force the money underground,” Norby said. “Increasingly, politics is a rich man’s game.”

Such laws have also created the “smear machines” created by committees who make large independent expenditures to candidates, Norby said.

Supervisors Bill Campbell and John Moorlach voted for the plan.

So – John Moorlach, who made as high as $237k a year off of the taxpayers took action to make politics a rich man’s game.

Let’s see, taxing illegal immigrants, waffling on sales taxes, voting for 180 property tax resolutions and of course attacking the first amendment. This is the John Moorlach experience.

Yet, The Orange County Republican Party blindly endorsed this guy.

Well, well, well. I guess Fred Whitaker really is on tilt and the calls for him to resign over his refusal to stand up for Bill Brough’s victims – in this case holding John Moorlach and his “volunteer” campaign manager Tim Clark accountable for covering up the rape of a former Senate Staffer of John Moorlach is more than Whitaker can handle.

Whitaker had to respond to the pounding of Right on Daily with an email that can only be titled – a bonfire of ego. As is our custom at Right on Daily, we will re-write the email for accuracy. Our comments are in italics. Get a good look at the embedded photo – this is who Moorlach and the OCGOP are ignoring.

Statement on the Special Election for Orange County Board of Supervisors, District 2

“The ballot is now set for the March 9, 2021 Special Election for Orange County Supervisor, District #2. The Republican Party of Orange County is solidly behind and will use all resources at its disposal to elect its endorsed candidate – Senator John Moorlach. We endorsed Moorlach with a behind the scenes action that included smearing the rape victim as a disgruntled former employee that was not credible. We urge you to ignore multiple media stories and the criminal investigation that is ongoing.

Senator Moorlach has a 25 year career protecting the taxpayer, and solving difficult problems. Including ignoring his staff and being indifferent to them. To safely reopen our economy, and solve the problems at the county, no one is better situated that John Moorlach. Except when it comes to addressing the ethical and moral failures of his staff. His main opponent is Progressive Socialist Democrat – Mayor of Costa Mesa – Katrina Foley. Just drive through the homeless encampments in Costa Mesa, and experience the only city in the county where police are citing businesses for being open – and you will experience what is coming to Orange County if she is elected.

Republicans are uniformly commenting on social media that three Republicans risk electing Katrina Foley. It is a very real concern. We did our part to make this a reality because we refused to acknowledge the moral failure of John Moorlach, choosing instead to double down on one of our favorites regardless of merit.

We thank Mayor Will O’Neil of Newport Beach, Councilman Erik Petersen of Huntington Beach, and Councilman Mike Posey of Huntington Beach – all good Republican council members who sacrificed their ambitions for the greater conservative cause and governance in Orange County. They realized that John Moorlach is the only one that polls close to Katrina Foley and with 25 years of voter’s in the Second District supporting him in public office – the only one that in a short 45 day campaign can win. But the same polls show that John Moorlach collapses once voters are informed of his indifference to and the cover up of the rape of one of his senate staff by his now campaign manager.

We  condemn the selfishness of Mayor Michael Vo of Fountain Valley and Councilman Kevin Muldoon of Newport Beach. They have let their egos be played by public service unions and political consultants all hoping to profit from this race. Polling was shared in particular with Mr. Muldoon that showed that his best result was to be a spoiler and not a victor.  He told many that he would not be a spoiler, and yet he still decided to run. We do, however, give John Moorlach a pass for the horrific way he has addressed the scandal that has engulfed him.

We urge all Republicans in the Second District to vote for John Moorlach and reject the candidacies of Muldoon and Vo. Every dollar given and every door walked for those campaigns works to elect Katrina Foley. We will repeat this lie as long as is needed so we can blame someone else for our intransigence and refual to admit a mistake with our rigged endorsement of John Moorlach

If Republicans unite behind the one candidate that can beat Katrina Foley, we will win. If Republicans follow the egos of politicians we risk losing. We need all Republicans to come together. We did it in the 2019 and 2015 special elections for Supervisor when lesser Republicans followed their egos and not the data. We need to reject John Moorlach as he has been in office for 25 years, voted to raise taxes many times and is indifferent to the rape of one of his former Senate Staffers.

With your help, we can do it again. Support John Moorlach.”

Blogger’s Note: Fred Whitaker is in a bear trap of his own making and lashing out at people for not towing the line for a fatally flawed candidate is laughable – especially when he is knee deep in the victim-shaming smears himself. Ego is a deadly character defect and it is having a splatter effect all over the OCGOP. We’re not done with the OCGOP or the good ‘ols boys network down there, not by a longshot. However it is nice to know that similar to last year with the Bill Brough saga, I have their attention again.

From the Mind of John Moorlach – Support Counting Non-Citizens in the Census

2021 Elections, John Moorlach  Comments Off on From the Mind of John Moorlach – Support Counting Non-Citizens in the Census

In an election era punctuated by border walls, border rage, terrorism, and President Obama imposing his will to bring in immigrants from high-risk areas, SJR13 ought to turn your stomach.

30 years ago John Moorlach saved Orange County – or so the story goes. Literally, there is a fringe element that have worshiped at the temple of Moloch religiously since. John Moorlach (Moloch) has been in office since I was in Grade School.

The irony is that those most loyal to the Presidential Candidate who has brought the border to the forefront – are also the same base that worship at the temple of Moloch. They abhor career politicians yet some are willing to sacrifice at the temple nonetheless. What would they do if they knew about the great Moloch and SJR13?

SJR13 was a resolution introduced by Kevin DeLeon – the generalissimo of the California State Senate. (Who famously was holding up evil guns he wanted to ban in a press conference whilst being too stupid to know what the name of the gun he wanted to ban was.)

SJR13 was an attempt by the California State Senate to weigh in on a supreme court case about how districts are drawn.

You see – in downtown LA, John Perez, the former speaker of the Assembly won his primary with 6,000 votes. Out in Orange County, Don Wagner needed 30,000 to win his primary. (same number of candidates on the ballot in each case)

Why is this? Non-Citizens tend to live in poor areas. Non-voters do, too. When districts are drawn, they are drawn by bodies – so non-citizens (legal and illegal) and unregistered voters are counted in the 465,000 people that are in each legislative district.

The case before the supreme court that SJR13 targeted was brought by Texas. Texas recognized rightly that the current system disenfranchises American Citizens and Registered voters of representation. They have asked the Supreme Court to determine reapportionment – whether it is by People (currently done), by Citizens or by Registered voters.

Kevin DeLeon and John Moorlach voted for a resolution calling on the Supreme Court to maintain the status quo.

It appears that John Moorlach is a hypocrite at worst, or at best he was completely clueless and did not read SJR13 before voting yes. The great Moloch failed his subjects and committed citizenship heresy.

One of the themes about John Moorlach is that he is useless to the Republican Party – when he had an opportunity to stand up for American Citizens getting deprived of representation – he sided with the democrats who benefit from disproportionate representation based on the current system which screws rural areas and suburban areas. (which are more heavily Republican)

Please note the Orange County Republican Party – that is still very loyal to President Trump actually endorsed this guy. Did they do their homework???

The rape of Trish Todd, frankly the entire William “Bill” Brough saga and all of its’ tenticles are a great case study for why the OCGOP is now in second place in Orange County. It is intellectually lazy to blame slippage from 66% of the vote in 2004 for HW Bush to 45% for Trump in 2020 on Demographics only. It is also easy and intellectually lazy to look at regaining a couple seats in congress (while the people in charge let Bryan Maryott, Greg Raths and Diane Dixon swing) as anything other than an aberration. The deterioration of the OCGOP has been consistent. Congressman Tom Campbell lit up the entire narrative being pushed by the feckless GOP establishment.

The first photo is Brough with his portable bar and Whitaker is in the second photo, memed forever.

I was first immersed in the protect all incumbents regardless of merit culture of the OCGOP in 2016. I was and have been aghast at the fealty towards incumbents that is the order of the day. John Moorlach had defeated Don Wagner for State Senate. Wagner had near unanimous support for his run in 2015 and the very same people the following year all lined up behind Moorlach because he was the incumbent – while making the same complaints about Moorlach being arrogant, acerbic, useless to the party and the like. In fact, Wagner had enough money to primary challenge Moorlach. I learned a couple of years later from a former employee of Don Wagner that a couple stakeholders literally threatened to spend millions destroying him personally and politically – all for John Moorlach not because they liked Moorlach, but how dare Wagner challenge the status quo.

Don Wagner for his part is now an Orange County Supervisor. I wonder if the same people that supported Wagner for Senate in 2015, threatened to wreck him in 2016 went off and supported him in 2020? These same luminaries are lining up the deck chairs to coronate Diane Harkey supervisor in 2022 despite Harkey having a lexis nexis report in excess of 300 pages. (speaking of documentation)

That culture is the backdrop for why it took me hundreds of hours of research and blogging relentlessly to crack the nearly psychotic grip of fealty to incumbents in Orange County.

None of them seem to give a rip about the victims at all. But at least the recent media scrutiny has forced a lot of these arrogant fools back in to their spider holes as they would all rather die than accept the humiliation of admitting a mistake. Mistakes that may elect the crazed Katrina Foley supervisor.

In April of 2019, I was called by someone that was inside the closed session of the Orange County Republican Party when now supervisor Lisa Bartlett finally came public with her 2011 story of abuse at the hands of Bill Brough. Fred Whitaker tried to cover it up, asking everyone there to “Keep it in the family”.

Along came Right on Daily.

After Bill Brough outed two of the victims, they asked to meet with Fred Whitaker in an attempt to explain their side of the story – while Whitaker was trying to hide and while the feckless Assembly GOP Minority Leader Marie Waldron was trying to protect Bill Brough. (so much for women in leadership)

It took three months and when Whitaker finally met with them, he understood finally these women were for real. So is Lisa Bartlett, Maria Elena Banks and an anonymous capitol staffer who spoke to the LA Times.

Then along came Trish Todd who told me her story long before John Moorlach lost his seat in the State Senate. (A seat that Don Wagner would have held easily)

Well guess what happened? The OCGOP closed ranks around one of their good ole’ boys once again. This time, they went a step further pre-emptively smearing Trish Todd who came forward with actionable and verifable evidence she was raped by Bill Brough. In one of the amazing things that happens in the small world of politics, their multi-million dollar hero from the 1990’s happened to be her employer when she was raped and his then Cheif of Staff is still his campaign manager. Whoops.

Now protecting incumbents and members of the club has crossed from cowardly threats behind closed doors to wreck Don Wagner, to interfering with efforts to hold Bill Brough accountable, to straight out smearing a rape victim to cover up the moral failure of John Moorlach. The lynchpin of this is Tim Clark, who worked for Bill Brough in 2014, Covered up the Rape in 2015 and is now still close to Moorlach’s current campaign (reputedly he is running it despite being a “volunteer”). Clark is alleged to be the source of the smears against Trish Todd and Moorlach’s behavior as more facts have been known illustrate that he was a terrible employer and even today his double speak on the issue itself indicates he does not care.

Great pick OCGOP.

I have Trish Todd’s entire personnel file. I can draw the conclusion that the Orange County Register did not follow up on their story about the smears because the Personnel file shows that John Moorlach lied to the Orange County Register. They would be forced to admit they made a mistake by endorsing Moorlach. Editorial Boards are no different than stakeholders in that regard.

While Todd has been friends with my wife (again the super tiny world of politics) since 2013, I did not know that she had such a long career in the Sacramento Capitol – THAT SHE LOST AFTER  GETTING RAPED. Her experience included Senator Abel Maldonado who promoted her, the late Dave Cox, and several years working for the Caucus itself. I’ve spoken to people I know that are still there in Sacramento and they all have nothing but positive things to say. Todd’s personnel file was putting me to sleep it was so boring. This is hardly the stuff of a disgruntled employee. She worked in the capitol from 2003 to 2016.

Trish also sent me this email she sent the Orange County Register as a follow up to the first story about the “disgruntled employee smear”:

I gave John Moorlach every opportunity to correct the smears and lies he told about a rape victim that worked loyally and hard for him. I also had hoped he would reach out and offer some sympathy and help now that he knows what happened to me while I worked for him. But, sadly nothing. In my letter, I told John Moorlach he had until last Thursday to tell the world the supposed negative things he claimed he and his staff had put in my personnel file. He told the Orange County Register Editorial Board he was not supportive of hiring me and he had to deal with poor performance by me and these were documented in my personnel file.“

“He knew what I knew. That was a complete lie. He also could not do anything to correct the record because despite my giving him a complete release to disclose my personnel file, there was not anything in there he claimed was in there. So, I am now releasing it to the public.”

“So, what is in the file? For openers there is a letter signed by John Moorlach when I was hired, praising me lavishly for my advanced skills and stating I was going to be his “defacto Deputy Chief of Staff” and urging the Senate to give me a higher salary than I was otherwise entitled to receive.  John Moorlach’s handwritten notes on my resume are attached. Yet he told the Orange County Register Editorial Board that he opposed my hiring? Really?”

“He also lied to the Editorial Board and claimed there were adverse performance reviews from him or Tim Clark. Again, a complete lie. There is not a single negative performance review of any kind in my file.”

“Finally, John Moorlach, as is the case with many career politicians, uses tax payer money for ridiculous boondoggles. In this case, the Outdoor Sporting Caucus, now just a name on the senate website, of which John Moorlach was then a member, had me arrange a skeet shooting event for Senate and Assembly Members and their staff. It was a ticketed event due to the limited number of shooting bays. Tim Clark, who was no longer on John Moorlach’s staff, and other staff who did not have reservations to the event were still disgruntled they could not attend. However, on the day of the event no elected Assembly Members or Senators were turned away from this event.”

“I eventually learned the hard way that John Moorlach will not promote or give raises to female staff nor will he protect them when they are in harm’s way.”

Please note – I have a copy of the resume’ with Moorlach’s handwriting on it. See it below. Please also note there is not one negative review of her ANYWHERE in the 13 year long file. Not. One. Tim Clark Lied, John Moorlach Lied. Perhaps this is why Moorlach was counseled to shut up.
I checked the transparent California website. It appears that John Moorlach had few female employees and based on what I saw none of them had anything other than a cost-of-living pay adjustment while working for him. (Not to mention a boss that covered up sexual assaults, but I digress)
I read a two-page document related to the skeet shooting event referenced above. It is very typical of what the Senate Rules Committee used to do Pre Me-Too with any sort of complaints by staff (or against staff). It was clear that someone (identified by Trish as Tim Clark) attempted to smear her. Not coincidentally, Trish separated from service shortly after that event. Did I metntion that Tim Clark is a morally corrupt man? She got raped, it was covered up and the last thing in her file was an attempt to smear her by Tim Clark. Just wow. Did I mention that Clark is still affiliated with John Moorlach’s current campaign and helped him lose his State Senate race?
Tim Clark lied to the Orange County Republican Party – alternating between calling Trish a liar and telling others that she was not credible. Other communication I have received indicated that my 11-21-2020 blog detailing the rape with more specific information than the 6-1-2020 post was a “Smear” and a “Political Attack”. Anyone that attacked the victim is going to get their ass kicked by the Right On Daily Blog, resign now or it is coming. Trish got raped. Heather Baez was sexually Battered, Lisa Bartlett has nightmares, Jennifer Alizeri was harassed, an unnamed Dem Staffer was cornered, a realtor from South OC was propositioned and touched – AND MANY OCGOP LEADERS IGNORED SOME OR ALL OF THE ISSUES! How many more women did Bill Brough abuse because these people did nothing?
I’m reaching out to you to ask a personal favor, because we are at a critical point.  The absolutely false accusation against Sen. Moorlach is threatening the ability of the party to unite behind one candidate for this special election,…
SNIP
I personally, think the blog was sent out just to sow disarray in the party by those that want to see us divided, since they know we can’t unite behind one of the others.  I know you know how it feels to be wrongly accused and have libel sent out against you.   Please help John fight this. Would you please “reply” that we can count your email as support for Sen Moorlach’s endorsement?   I appreciate the consideration.
Fred Whitaker, resign now. If Katrina Foley gets elected supervisor, you own it.
Good Bye John Moorlach. Your political career is over. You can’t win.
Tim Clark, I am younger than you and I am patient. Wherever you pop up in politics, I will be there.
TRISH TODD GOT RAPED AND THEY DON’T CARE. But I do, and I won’t stop.

About that resume’: (Note Moorlach’s notes on the resume’) – I redacted her phone and email off of the document.

The LA Times decided to attack the recall effort against Gavin Newsom in a blatant article trying to separate disaffected democrats from the movement. With north of 1.2 Million signatures in the tank, they are starting to sweat. Familiarize yourself with the two reporters:

Anita Chabria has written articles for various publications and has been consistently anti law-enforcement and fixated on the “extreme right” authoring several articles I could find that were as dubious as any election fraud theory. She is also a graduate of berkeley. Enough said

Paige St John has made a career attacking business, the insurance industry and if you look close she also covered Bush vs Gore (in a very pro Gore manner) in her past trevails. She fancies herself as an investigative reporter and her fellow leftist jounrnos gave her a pulitzer prize for a one-sided attack series against property insurers in Florida. (Think hurricanes and reporters demanding insurance carriers cover everything) What Paige does not know is I remember the media assault on Insurance Carriers in Florida, it caused rates to go up 50% while people like her celebrated some sort of victory for social justice.

This story features several reaches and infers that some fringe players are somehow running the recall effort. Paige especially knows better – but as a career partisan sell-out journalist it appears she felt honor bound to double down on Gavin Newsom. No reasonable person could read the smearing of several private citizens and infer anything other than an attempt to try and keep democrats and left-leaning independents from signing the recall.

Los Angeles, CA:  On Sunday, January 24, 2021 the Los Angeles Times published a news article “Recall Newsom effort has ties to far-right movements, including QAnon, and virus skeptics.”

With the recall gaining steam and 1.2 million signatures already gathered, some in the press have launched a campaign of their own to smear and attack individual recall volunteers.

The Los Angeles Times has sunk to an all-time low in its bias coverage of the official recall campaign, to create a divisive and polarizing narrative. The article is an obvious attempt to stifle progress, distract the public and bully others from getting involved.

Good, hardworking and dedicated volunteers from all walks of life, political backgrounds and socio-economic levels are laser focused on the task at hand, and that is the successful removal of California Governor Gavin Newsom from office in 2021.

Such biased journalism that was authored by political activist reporters Anita Chabria and Paige St. John is harmful to the democratic process in which people are merely exercising their rights guaranteed them by the constitution.

Californians from all walks of life have signed the petition for personal reasons of their own, which have nothing to do with the personal beliefs of any individual member. This movement is about bad policies and fixing a broken system, not individual personalities. When successful, the recall will trigger a special election later this Summer and Californians will have an opportunity to choose a new Governor.

RecallGavin2020.com is a peaceful, nonpartisan movement and has many active volunteers. Everyone involved is entitled to their own personal opinions, that is what a Democracy is all about.  We decry all aspects of racism and hate.  We denounce any individual or group who engages in acts of violence, vandalism, or make threats on any level.
