I can not begin to tell you how much I have to remind myself why I am a follower of Christ and why Jesus Christ means everything to me. My work in politics makes me fight for my faith sometimes on an hour by hour basis as the actions of other so-called Christians make me want to scream. They go far beyond social media arguments or campaign hyperbolae. They go to base human nature.

It is has been clear for years that I have a tremendous amount of disdain for Ted Gaines. I believe him to be a hypocrite. He still has a lot of fans in his local Church, which is common for a public figure as most never get a chance to see below the surface. Mr. Gaines pattern of egomenical self-serving narcissism is clear as he ran over several year’s old relationships to position his wife for a name-id based run for Assembly some years ago.

Mr. Gaines also employed a sexual predator and monster (at least that is what I think of Ssssssteve Davey) for years. A staffer that managed to endure Steve Davey’s psychosis for almost 4 years told me some hair raising stories. I’ve confirmed a couple of them with others who witnessed them. Steve Davey was known for saying things like: “Nice Tits”, “Cute little hoochie outfit” and the like to female staff in the office. Read my original expose on Steve Davey here. Davey is reputed to have cheated on his first wife a couple times. I believe I may have seen one of Steve’s marks at a CRP convention several years ago, the same staffer that went on the record told me several stories as well. In addition, Steve Davey used to make graphic sexual comments about women in local government in front of staff, talking about how he’d like to f— this person or that.

Where was Ted Gaines? He did nothing. A chief of staff in the state legislature told me that finally after 7(!) years worth of complaints against that monster, the Rules Committee Fired Steve Davey because Ted Gaines refused to do a thing. What Would Jesus Do? Certainly not what the feckless Ted Gaines did.

Beth Gaines? Same thing. When she was in the Assembly, she employed Dave Titus, who was moved to the Ted Gaines operation after Steve Davey was forced out. I personally witnessed Dave Titus cheat on his wife of 20 Years during a campaign I was volunteering on, I was also aware that Dave Titus was well-known in the capitol for his sexual forays. What did the Christian Beth Gaines do when Dave Titus was continuing his behavior against Wife #2 years later while on her payroll? That’s right. Nothing.

I know Dave Titus, because I witnessed it many years ago when he worked for a different legislator used to tell his staff how to use their position to get laid. (his words) Steve Davey was a protege’ of Dave Titus.

Since I am focusing on sexual misdeeds, I’ve been leaving out the trail of destruction their out of control behavior has left in other areas as they are all rampaging through my home area.

It adds a level of emotional violation when I have to write these kinds of words about so-called Christian leaders who appear to tolerate and encourage slime like Steve Davey and Dave Titus by their inaction. Ted Gaines is running for yet another office in 2018 in order to free up his Senate Seat for Beth Gaines to run again in a special election in 2019. If you want to see the pattern continue, keep voting for the Gaines.

As someone who wants everyone to find a relationship with Christ some day, it is heartbreaking to see this sort of savage hypocrisy. It cheapens the perceived value of the faith as so many on the Republican side of the aisle use faith as a prop on their campaign mail while it means next to nothing otherwise.

People talk to me a lot. Most never go on the record so I have to store the stories until I can prove them independently or a mysterious manila envelope shows up to my home or office with papers in it. I’ve gotten anonymous emails with documents attached, blocked number phone calls, tapped on the shoulder at events by people I’ve only seen once and sometimes people I know well come up and tell me their story.

I’ve written a lot lately about a lot of things. I want to issue a content warning as this series I am going to write is going to be sometimes graphic and emotionally disturbing.

There are some things that shake me to my core. I can only relate the feelings I have gotten, listening to the stories of the abused and seeing the fear, pain and helplessness in their eyes as they relate to me the treatment they have endured at the hands of so-called Conservatives (yes and some liberals, too) in the Capitol.

Many of you remember Roger Hernandez who got little more than a slap on the wrist when he was caught whaling the tar out of his then wife? Remember Mike “Spanky” Duvall? This paragon of family values was having sex with a lobbyist who had actual business before the committees he sat on:

“She wears little eye-patch underwear,” said Duvall, who is married with two children. “So, the other day she came here with her underwear—Thursday. And so, we had made love Wednesday—a lot! And so she’ll, she’s all, ‘I am going up and down the stairs, and you’re dripping out of me!’ So messy!”

Duvall was once heralded as a leading voice for family values.

No one can forget Roy Ashburn who got in to a DUI accident late at night with a young man in his car. Ashburn was another of those heralded for being a solid pro-family vote.

Just months before he termed out, Ashburn was arrested for drunk driving after leaving a Sacramento gay nightclub. Days later, he came out.

We’d heard stories about all three, but they were whispers. When the news about Duvall and Ashburn exploded, none of us were surprised.

With Marc Steinorth under fire for an affair and Devon Mathis under fire for allegations (yet to be fully proven) of sexual assault, I felt it was time to start writing about the horrific stories I’ve been told over the years. If Harvey Weinstein’s sudden collapse causes this culture to be exposed, he will have inadvertently done the world a service.

What I know of Devon Mathis’ situation is that he liked to go out drinking with his staff, a lot. When I have personally seen Mathis at CA GOP Conventions, he has been intoxicated. As I sit here with long-term sobriety, it is easy for me to label every heavy drinker I see as an alcoholic. I don’t know Devon well enough to have an opinion on that, but why the hell was an Assembly member drinking with his staff? Why was Devon Mathis regularly seen at the house of Justin Turner near Sacramento State? Why did I hear about this pattern from a ton of people?

I do know the Chief of Staff Devon Mathis had when this went down. It is my understanding that Sean Doherty was fired by the Assembly Rules Committee in a similar manner to Steve Davey was. I will catch everyone up on the monster known as Steve Davey in the next post, but suffice to say Mr. Doherty is reputed to have similar set of issues and is reputed to be a heavy drinker in addition to his penchant for making life miserable for the female employees in the Sacramento office. The aforementioned Justin Turner has worked in that operation longer most anyone else working for the Mathis operation, what did Turner see in Sacramento while Devon Mathis did nothing or worse participated in it? Was it actually Sean Doherty the committed the offense that Devon Mathis is accused of? Did Mathis allow it to happen? Or did they BOTH do stuff like that?

Google Narcissistic Personality Disorder and then compare it to Chad Mayes’ behavior once he orchestrated the Cap and Trade debacle. He is following a classic pattern.

Greg Wallis – who works for Chad Mayes is featured here tweeting criticism of Kevin McCarthy. Yes, Wallis (Mayes Staff) is slamming the moderate Republican icon for saying “My advice for Assembly members in Sacramento: You will not win the majority by thinking you can be Democrat lite” . This was the most used quote in the drive-by media from McCarthy’s speech at the CAGOP.

Apparenly, Mayes and his minions were triggered yet again. Young Mr. Wallis decided to reference the sliding republican numbers in office as a counter argument, suggesting that only Chad Mayes and selling out on Cap and Trade, Abortion, Taxes, Spending, Bonds, Bullet Trains and the like is the way to the electoral promised land for the California GOP.

Narcissists are constitutionally incapable of seeing their own faults. They are unable to comprehend when they are wrong. Chad Mayes truly believes that everyone else is wrong and is in the middle of what I have described as a Narcissistic Rage.

His temper tantrum was made worse as the fractured and petrified Assembly Republican Caucus could not muster the courage to expel him from leadership. Currently Mayes sits as “assistant leader” in the CAGOP Caucus. This has probably reinforced in Mr. Mayes mind how right he is. You can not deal with a true narcissist, you have to run them over with a truck (figuratively) and literally eviscerate them. That requires courage.

Mayes for his part has been tweeting incessant criticism of everything Republican since his reign of terror as Republican Leader ended two weeks later than it should have. He attempted to decimate fundraising agreements, shoved Assembly member Melissa Melendez in to the doghouse, stripped others of committee assignments and the like. While the drama of his ouster was unfolding, he was bullying people at events, yelling at others on the phone while raising tons of money from his real masters in the California Swamp.

Now that Mayes has gotten his 500,000 pieces of silver, he is repaying everyone for their loyalty by talking openly about running for Governor. The money he raised was for Assembly, the donors wanted him there to continue voting for their tax increases, corporate welfare and the like.

Note the timing of the story from Mayes, Friday. This was the start of the CAGOP Convention. There were a hail of tweets from disgruntled staffers over the course of the weekend attacking Steve Bannon, the CAGOP and others.

I received a call yesterday from a very well sourced political consultant friend that Chad Mayes has retained an out of state consultant to run his Governor Campaign. The individual had never heard of the consultant and did not write down the name.

That said, the pattern is consistent – Mayes is hellbent to be right. He reminds me of Tom Hudson. Mayes will destroy himself and everyone else around him in his rage over the deep-seeded sense of violation he is feeling.

I had told several people I did not think Chad Mayes would stay a Republican. He won’t. Even though Joe Justin runs Chad’s social media himself, Joe’s posts on behalf of Chad are accurate representations of Chad’s view of the world. The above article from Capitol Public Radio should be a further entree in to the mind of Mayes.

If you track the political “development” of Nathan Fletcher in San Diego (ironically, he spoke at the SD County Dem Convention this past weekend), they are tracking similarly. Both had affairs with Assembly members as an added bonus. While Chad Mayes’ flame-out has been more widespread – the basic building blocks of a self-centered political metamorphosis are there.

Mayes will run for Governor because he knows he will lose AD42, then he will blame the GOP for his defeat(s) and will thusly leave the GOP. His rampage won’t stop at trying to split GOP Votes to help John Chiang or Antonio Suave in to the runoff against Gay Marriage Gavin, he will find other offices to run for as a democrat in later cycles.

Chad Mayes has basically abandoned his partners in #CapandTrade, Marc Steinorth and Devon Mathis, both of whom are in serious political trouble. Again, following the pattern, Chad is looking out for Chad and must not believe the rumored $5MM+ independent expenditure to support the 6 traitors on the ballot in 2018 is not real.

Ever tried to get a CCW Permit in Riverside County?

A comment on a gun rights group page CRPA sets the stage for the Stan Sniff versus the constitution fight.

Thats true.. I mean 2018 till an interview is what one guy said….. you know how many deputies are on limited duty and on disability ect they could throw in that division? they could put like 20 guys in there.. BTW, the two deputies that are in there now are super super guys .. Frank Yezzo is a great guy and one of the JUST TWO deputies in that division… and very easy going in the whole process but again, its almost like you should just CCW on your own at that point of waiting.

Unpack the comment. In a county of 2.4 Million people Sheriff Sniff has limited the number of people processing CCW Permits to 2.

I have a current CCW from another county. I’m told by Riverside county that I have to begin the process over in their county, taking the safety course from one of their vendors and I have to interview. They gave me an appointment in January 2019!!

I also have to surrender my CCW to the issuing county because of my change of address.

Got it? Someone with a CCW is going to have to give it up for 2+ Years because of the artificially created backlog by Sheriff Sniff.

Perhaps the Sheriff’s affinity to the ACLU, SEIU, LIUNA and the Carpenter’s Union is no accident? Perhaps his endorsements of extreme left wing democrat Cheryl Brown was really ideological? Richard Roth is no slouch at grabbing guns either.

Kevin Johnson says: Just got my interview appointment. First available was April 2019. Over two years away. The problem is worse since this article was written.

Because the Sheriff has done such a poor job for 10 years on issuing CCW Permits, cities within the county that are not contracting with the Riverside Sheriff’s Office are attempting to take matters in to their own hands to issue permits.

The bottom line is that Sheriff Sniff is anti-gun and places no priority in issuing CCW Permits. He may be able to play politician to fool some of the gun rights groups for an occasional endorsement, but unpacking his horrific record on gun rights will tell the real tale.

As of Early 2015 here is your count on CCW Permits. Riverside County is a County of 2,400,000 people.

Riverside County: About 1,200 (including 258 new permits in 2014)

San Bernardino County: 3,361 (including 720 new permits in 2014)

We’re going to lead in to the second post about the Sheriff’s Abysmal Record on Gun Rights with this 2014 Story right after the 9th Circuit amazingly hammered San Diego County for adding several layers of barriers to CCW Permits that were ultimately ruled unconstitutional.

But a gun rights group contends that the ruling, centered on concealed permit rules in San Diego County, also is proof that Inland counties aren’t following the law. The executive director of the Calguns Foundation is threatening legal action against Riverside County if it doesn’t ease its rules for civilians who want to carry hidden guns in public.

Instead of changing to accommodate the ruling and the will of the people, Sheriff Sniff has passively-aggressively doubled down on making CCW permits nigh-on-impossible in Riverside County. In essence the Sheriff has told would-be CCW permit holders “Up Yours”.

Thanks to some extremely bizarre legislation in California, you can self identify as anything these days. It does indeed appear that my friends within the Riverside GOP have failed to do their due diligence on the Sheriff who is self-identifying as a Republican.

Mr. Sniff appears to be all over the board on a variety of issues. When doing research on the Sheriff, I learned that he appointed an LBGT Liaison Officer. I wonder if this was widely advertised?

Whether or not gay rights is your issue, the point here is one of priorities. The Good Sheriff has a bizarre set of them. A brand new jail has been languishing for quite a while due to “budget cuts”, yet we have an LGBT liaison officer. I’d assume to deal with the after affects of felons allowed to go free who assault them?

As I’ve been looking in to the Sheriff, I’ve identified a slew of things that are causing me to question everything everyone thinks they knew about him.

Let’s start at a basic question, Is Stan Sniff a Republican?

He is deign to give out CCW Permits, this is a proven fact we will discuss later, he has also given short shift to jails and corrections, another fact we will discuss later. Guns and Law / Order are two pillars of even the most moderate Republican’s platform.

It gets better – in the competitive State Senate District 31 in the middle of Riverside County, tax-raising left-wing “General” Richard Roth can count of Sheriff sniff to endorse and help re-elect him. Richard Roth voted to jack up your vehicle registrations, jacked up your gas taxes twice and helped usher in Cap and Trade which will light up the sky with your energy bills. Cap and Trade is the reason why Riverside County “Republican” Chad Mayes became public enemy number one and is expected to be in the fight of his life for re-election. So why not Stan Sniff? Sniff endorsed Roth in September of 2015, some 10 months before election day, in an effort to discourage any viable Republican from running against Roth, while in the same area Republican Assemblymember Eric Linder was ousted from office.

Sniff called Richard Roth a “True Champion for Public Safety”, yet Roth supported Prop 47 and Prop 57, get out of jail free cards for habitual career criminals. Under those propositions, you can visit the local markets and steal up to $950 worth of stuff and get an infraction. You can then do it repeatedly as those crimes do not pile up. Roth also supported making transmitting HIV a misdemeanor.

Lest you think Stan Sniff’s democrat tendencies are limited to the above, the good sheriff also added another disaster to his endorsement quiver. In 2012, he endorsed leftist democrat Cheryl Brown. Ms. Brown has been like Richard Roth on acid. Brown is so far out there that she has supported legislation so bad that even Governor Moonbean has vetoed it.

It is fair to say that Sheriff Sniff has no clear core convictions. It is also fair to say that Sheriff Sniff aided and abetted the largest tax increases, fee increases and regulatory increases in state history, in addition to the disasters known as Prop 47 and 57.

Does the Sheriff believe that the leftist Social Justice Warriors will come to his aid now that his tenure is seriously threatened? We are seeing an emerging pattern with Sheriff Sniff… stay tuned for more.
