The “FBI” Emailed Me!

The Shocking Truth:

From: FBI <info87273@fbi.gov>

Subject: You visit illegal websites

Sir/Madam, we have logged your IP-address on more than 40 illegal Websites. Important: Please answer our questions! The list of questions are attached. uv wi gve

I’ll be dammed if my security software wouldn’t let me open the .zip file the “FBI” sent me with the questions I was supposed to answer.

Then they emailed me again:

Subject: You visit illegal websites

Sir/Madam, we have logged your IP-address on more than 40 illegal Websites. Important: Please answer our questions! The list of questions are attached.

And again my software wouldn’t open the .zip file – and here I was looking forward to speaking with Special Agent Beavis.

I felt compelled to disclose this before the next anonymous email or Auburn Journal Column.
