Tom McClintock warned us that Meg Whitman is the third term of Arnold. She appeared to confirm this on the John and Ken show recently.

It appears that Meg Whitman does not care about her Republican base or is she taking it for granted? The best suggestion this blogger can make is for people to call her campaign office and/or email her campaign office and hold her accountable for her weak positions on Key issues.
Quoting Carla Marinucci of the SF Chron:
In the interview, Whitman said “yes” when asked if, as governor, she would layoff 40,000 state workers, admitted she was still undecided, but unlikely to support Prop. 23 on the November ballot, and strongly defended her immigration policies.

Whitman — who has been sharply critical of the state’s climate change bill AB32 as a “job killer — said that “in all likelihood,” she will vote against Prop. 23. That measure on the November ballot would suspend AB32 until unemployment rates drop to near 5 percent for four consecutive quarters; Whitman has called for a moratorium on the bill to further study it.
To further study what!? AB32 is the largest tax increase in state history! We have the second worst unemployment rate in the country and Meg Whitman wants to study? We have three months to go before election day – there is no time to study…
Oh and Whitman’s own staffer – hired for the CRP for the “Victory 2010” effort didn’t have a clue that the state GOP endorsed YES on Prop 23 already. (Read Carla Marinucci from the SF Chron again)
… but there is plenty of time for the GOP base to abandon ship. If Whitman refuses to act like a Republican by being unafraid to stand up for soverignty and freedom from Eco-Tyranny, we’re sunk. Steve Cooley is Sunk. Damon Dunn is Sunk. Abel Maldonado is Sunk. It could also dash hopes of Fiorina taking Barbara Boxer out.
Just go home Conservatives. It’s Arnold all over again – now if it is as simple as Whitman not following her script, then her instincts are those of a Liberal Democrat.
Either way – the only way Whitman can climb out of this hole is to acknowledge that Conservatives are her base. Her appeal across the middle is financial management and economic revitalization and that AB32 is environmental extremism.
Anything else is a disaster for California – we already have a Liberal Democrat running for Governor.

This is exactly why when asked if I would endorse her I said I am not ready to. I know she will sell out even if she did get in office.

She is using this money to pay her debtors one of which is from “mountain minutemen org” Ask her about that all you loyal dupes. Ask her why her fund is set up like that….get back to me will ya? 🙂

Hi, first I am not with meg whitman, 2nd if you go to the sec. of state campaign info information (which is open to all to see) you can find nightingales cmapign donations. and how the Donations are listed. #) I have a real problem with fraud. I have known some people affliated with the Nightingale, I became suspect years ago, about who this person really is. She has played this game and fraud before. Setting up “501c organiaztions, stumping for money..then the whole thing goes bankrupt. The bankruptcy filings are all online as well. She is currently being sued in Kern country over a bad debt. I felt obligated to inform the “people” those that wish to give money to a person, that is a con. A con wrapping herself in the American flag. “Patriotism is the last refuge for scoundrels!” Most of her donors are retiree’s is really p.o.’s me..that she could scam for donations. btw, the AIP does not back her run. I think I’m well qualified to comment on Nightingale,
I have worked with her at Save Our State.
First off, Save Our State did not go bankrupt. Instead, it was left to expire. That’s a long story. Basically though, Joe Turner incorporated it, ran it for awhile, and then turned it over to nightingale as managing director. Her management style was iron hand, and it soon became apparent that it was all about chelene instead of our agenda. I was there since the beginning and became one of the administrators, but I’m a stickler for legalities, and when things weren’t adding up about the corporate status and the donations, I started asking questions and was soon ostracized by chelene. I then did my research and discovered that both Joe and chelene had let the corp lapse, in addition to never completing the 501C3 requirements. Basically, we weren’t a charity,,,ever. So I filed and reincorporated it, and have been slowly trying to get to the bottom of the old corp management through the AG’s office and the Sec of State. Nightingale knew. She knew. They then had several years of our written effort removed from the internet so it would not reflect badly on her run for office. There has been a file opened at the AG’s office, and now it’s headed to the FTB, but it’s going.
Yes, Chelene filed the chapter 13 BK, and then it was converted to a 7, She had borrowed 6K from one of our members just a few weeks prior to the BK, and after having been left out of the loop pn the Bankruptcy and the later finding out that Chelene was running for goivernor instead of paying him back, our member sued and obtained a judgement. She appealed this week, but it looks like she lost again. I have zero respect for Nightingale. Even after all her previous activism which seemed pretty good to me at the time, I realize now that it was intended for personal gain at the expense of everyone else’s contribution. As far as I’m concerned, she should tarred, feathered, and run out of the conservative movement as a poser.

Chelene Nightingale is a top-notch liar and schemer. She viciously and falsely accused Mr. Jim Gilchrist of the Minuteman Project of neglecting Ramos and Compean while they were unjustly imprisoned. Actually Mr. Gilchrist cared deeply for Ramos and Compean, sharing their story and urging support for them at his countless public appearances, while Nightingale was insidiously exploiting the agents’ tragedy for publicity purposes. If only Ramos and Compean knew how shallow and manipulative Nightingale really is!
